Located in the historic Edgewater Hotel, Scoops Old-Fashioned Ice Cream Store is located in the "original" location of the cozy coffee shop.  As you walk into Scoops Old-Fashioned Ice Cream Store, you are sure to be reminded of simpler times, when the local soda fountain was a favorite hangout for the town's residents.

Owner Michael Stoppels has recreated the vintage feeling by using period antiques that one would have found in many ice cream shops across the U.S.  In fact, many of the collectibles come from his great grandfather’s own ice cream store.  The design and décor is there to inspire memories and provide an atmosphere of comfort.

“Creating Memories” is what Michael has set out to do.  He wants those that can recall the past to be delighted in remembering it and to inspire new memories for those younger generations that will find Scoops Old-Fashioned Ice Cream Store a place to come and enjoy.

Growing up, there was a hometown ice cream store that has provided Michael with many fond memories. Whether it was the weekly walk the family took to enjoy a scoop or sundae, or the times he spent hanging out with friends over a root beer float, it is those memories that have inspired the creation of Scoops Old-Fashioned Ice Cream Store.
